Dont know much about cars just starting so bare with me. Im planning to buy some projection head lights for my 06 civic sedanbut would I be able to install them myself? Some shop told me they need to take off my bumper is that true?

Yea, you need to remove the bumper cover to get to the headlights.
Don't go a shop because the whole point of tuning a car is to learn and have fun,
nothing is better then taking a step back and appreciating your work.
