incorrect, a "real" ctr shift boot does nothing. the problem is when you replace your oem shift **** with an aftermarket **** that doesn't support the boot collar. but, when you purchase a cheap boot, it usually doesn't include the collar, so you won't be able to do it regardless.

here's mine with a "real" ctr boot, and you will still have a gap:

Lol ye I used eletrical Tape for mine.. Or rubber bands.. Which ever

something ive beed doing for a while is, use a old bushing from your strut top, if you have one laying around, its removable it doesnt get sticky and adds stucture to the boot. perfect fit!

I use momo shift boot/**** so it threads onto the bottom of the ****.
