keep on trucking

why would that pi$$ me off but no people speculate the idea but really have no proof that its dangerous at all people have been stretching tires for years even the drifters do it with no problems and they beat the crap out of them. it also gives you better cornering to because the tire doesn't flex around corners.but im doing it to fit a 16/8 +15 offset deep dish rim.the onley downside is you have to keep high psi like 41-45 psi. i belive it started in europe due to laws stating thet the tread of a tire must not exceed the fender so in order to fit wider tires people started stretching .

well you should use a 205/40/16, but if you really want to specifically stretch the tire, I guess 195/50 is what you'd want.
However, at stock ride height, with any wheels, the car will look like it's a little high up. To solve this problem it is not recommended to go with bigger tires. The only smart way to get rid of wheel gap is to lower the car... or I guess if you're really good with body work you could make the fenders go down further, but i'm not sure if that would look real good.
