Alright so i caught some heat for seeing how you guys felt about rsx/civic conversion, but what do you think about a full black leather interior on a civic. I think it'd be sick, and leather seats arent that hard to install. The one thing that i'm not too sure on how to change is that little cloth piece on the door so if anyone has some input id be glad to hear it

I think leather looks good, only thing that would stop me is that the leather gets cold in the winter and gets real hot in the summer. It also sticks to you in the heat.

Don't let one or two guys' opinion stop you if it something you want to do...

I think I read in your other post that you're married and have a kid/s. I've got two boys, one 5 and one 18mos, and with small children...leather is the only way to go. so much easier to clean up after your kids sling their damn happy meals and spill their juice cups all over your interior. i want leather in my civic also...we have it in our Infiniti and as long as you at least get the windows tinted it'll be okay in the summer. believe me, we lived in houston before i got stationed in SC and it's hot as hell both places. I say go for the leather, but I wouldn't just recover the civic seats...id go with like RSX seats or teg seats. Not sure how the seats are in a 96-00 civic but I know the ones in my 93 coupe suck...they're so uncomfortable.

I was thinking about doing the rear seats myself and then getting a cheap pair of racing seats off of ebay and having them redone in leather at a shop here in cali. id go with acura seats but im wanting the 4 point harness on the fronts.

if your looking for leather seats for a civic, go to katskins.com or something like that (you can type katzkin at yahoo and itll pop up).
Theyve got a junk load of options for two tones and piping if your interested.

i almost had leather seats from a civic, and they had the silver H in the headrest that you could see when the light hit it the right way...looked soooooo good, but i think it will only match if you have a dark colored dash and such, but i say do it up and post some pics

i'd go for it. i'm wanting to eventually change out the interior on my civic from the nasty brown to a cool black. car manufacturers should just stop making cars with blue, brown, and red interiors. they're ugly.

Don't get me wrong, I like leather and the looks of leather. I was only tryin to point out a few things for you in order to help make up your mind.
