Default Playstation 2 Glove box Conversion.. THE ****!

Before i start, can i please have NO COMMENTS ABOUT UN-NEEDED WEIGHT!!

Ok so i took my glove box out this weekend, got a jigsaw and cut the back off (not the sides)

I made a template for the front of the box, and cut it into two sections, one side for the screen to be mounted behind, and the other side to open as a door to get the the ps2 to change the disk.

heres the pic of it installed.

a pic of it on

the screen

the door to get to the disk

and best of all it all stows away easily.

what do you guys think?
Im really happy with it.

was not majourly hard, took a few days at it to get it finished, and it ended up getting upholstered twice. once white, then black.

i had to make a mount in the box to prop the ps2 up and an angle, so that it wasn't laying on the chip board of the screen.

good tip is to buy a cheap, in car, cigarette lighter powered tv and strip it out of the unit and use the screen and chip board.

naw i imagine he's asking for the same reason i wnated to; your glove box is on the left side, which is weird for us U.S. citizens. Looks awesome though, probably the cleanest PS2 install i've ever seen man.

ah i see, wow thanks man that an awesome compliment! when i get the chance im going to go to a scrappy, and buy a dash, strip the material off of it and use that to apholster the ps2 install front. so it all matches.

has anyone got any good ideas of where to put the controller? bare in mind that i cant unplug it.. as for now it comes out the back of the glove box and is hidden behind center console, but as i found out today, if u corner hard it slides out..

or any other ideas for making this instal better?

cheers
