Default rpm tach

when i go to install one of these, following the thread i found hcf, will i mess any of the tach needles up by taking out the cluster on my 94cx hatch, to get to the blue spare tach signal behind the cluster? are there any precautions such as bumping the needles out of whack or anything?

If you bump the fuel needle it will not go back to where it was. But for the rest of them your ok, but that doesnt mean you should go touching any of them

ok, thanks for that info, so how can i remove the cluster without touching the needles, does the cluster holes just slip through past the needls, or will it come out as one solid piece with the tach needles still mounted to the cluster? And do u know where that blue wire is in a 94cx hatch, icant seem to find it on the left side, drivers side, unless its hidden?

Im not exactly sure where the blue wire is behind the cluster. But when you take your cluster out its still coverd with the plastic, so your not even going to be able to touch the needles or anything. Its like pulling out a box. All the stuff inside will be protected.

Yeah, unless you pull that plastic off I wouldn't be worried.

I think I moved all my needles around at one time when i installed my gauges, and they all appear to work, even the fuel gauge.

It was funny, watchign me try and rip them off and then figure out on my own that the new ones slid over the old, lol.
