Hey guys, if there is a thin line of rust exposed, RIGHT below the car door (not on the door, but if the door is closed, the rust is directly below the door) how might one patch that up?

Picture would help... If it is more than surface rust you will probably have to have it cut out and a new peice welded in. If it is just surface rust then it could be sanded off then repainted.

if the metal has been eaten away at all you will have to sand blast it and then etching primer. if there is a hole at all you will have to cut it out, weld in a patch, then etching primer. if it just started, like just a couple of days ago and the metal is not eaten away at all then you can get away with sandpaper and then etching primer, then after one of the above do some body work and paint to make it look nice.
