my setup is a NRG 2.5 quick release and short hub with a lock and a personal steering wheel that is black with red stitching. I love it and i figure why spend money on just a stock steering wheel when i can spend the same amount on a nice wheel and also provide a theft deterrent. My whole setup ran close to 500. I dont have an airbag in any of my cars now and i am much better off

In what way is no airbag "better off"?

And S2K Wheel looks better than an aftermarket wheel anyway, lots better.

thanks, inthezoneac. that was everything i needed to know, an ap1 wheel is now being ordered. i like the ap1 and ap2 wheels a lot better than the JDM CTR wheel, it looks so much cleaner and more modern than the JDM CTR wheel. i can see two upsides to not having an airbag. one is that shorter people can ride in a safe manner. the other is that if you have a dedicated track car, the airbag system is redundant, as the five-pt harness, race seats and helmet take the place of an airbag, and every ounce counts with a dedicated track car.

Well the airbag won't do much for taller people either lol. If my airbag went off it would probably just hit me on the top of my thighs since I have to sit all the way back from the wheel.
