civicjuju, I did the same thing on my old car and after the sixth time I was pulled over, and the cop checked his computer and made me scrap the tint off. Took over three hours with a razor blade and a 300 dollar fine; and of course another 150 to have it professional removed. Best to stay within the law especially around Virginia, Deleware, and New York those are some of the strictest in the North East. In Virginia they don't even care if you are visiting, the first time I was pulled over in VA I had out of state plates.
