To trade or not to trade?
so you trading it with someone on Custom Auto Classifieds BUY-SELL-TRADE or some local guy?
ive thought about some trades offered from that site from people but so far everything is not my style/ sucks to much gas, or just a automatic.LOL

Yeah, this will be the second car Ive found on there. I sold my 98 sedan on there, bought my hatch that I found on there, and then this guy offered to trade me. He has 4 teggys and the crx. He buys cars, builds them up, and sells them. Says he cant find a decent EG anywhere.
ya a decent one is hard to find....
they are cheap cars and most people abuse the hell outta them!
hell i went about bought some used coilovers today and the guy had some friends over asking if i would sell my EG. and well not me.... i like my beater... either i will get more than its worth.... or it gets wrecked to bad to fix..... he wants it cheap.LOL hell na. i got 2500cash in this turd and still adding up $$.LOL

I drove an hour and a half to turn it down! It was a beast, fast a ****, but there were so many little things rigged up that he didnt tell me. The sun roof didnt close, the shifter was jacked, the car was SPRAY painted, it was bull. So I still have the EG hatch. Im back to where I was...put another 2k into it and keep it,or try to trade off for something better.
Yeah...good call. A clean EG hatch is a great starting point to go in whatever direction you want as far as mods go. Better than picking up somebody else's incomplete/poorly implemented project.

ive got alot of sh** from my 94 that needed fixed... small things that just kept adding up.... with any car ya buy look for all the work the guy can prove, and if he cannt prove it dont asume it..... with my build youve seen my extensive pictures and i got most of the recietes to prove al the work ive done....
you can always just look into swaping the motor yourself...... a quick Z6/manual swap will give ya quite a bit more pep or look into a more expensive DOHC swap if ya want that much power...
but remember speed might be nice to have.... but it can get you in trouble fast.LOL
i know first hand after droping in a 400motor to replace a worn out original 327 in my old impala.. i kept geting speeding tickets and unsafe start tickets/ basicaly smoking the tires... plus more wear on the motor, and VERY decreased tire life. so much that i just started buying used/decent tires... alot cheaper than smoking brand new tires! plus cleaning off the rubber off the back fender always sucked! LOL
a slower motor will keep ya outta as much trouble.

good luck with either way ya decide to go.... trade or swap....
I think im going to swap. Ive been looking for a while for a decent price on a VTEC swap. I dont know that I could do it myself though...mainly just lifting mine out and droping the new one in. The b16 felt nice, but I dont need that much. What did you put in your 94 when you bought it and how much was it Addiction?
well my d16Z6 i got a steal practicaly... only 250bucks localy found a guy on craigslist. went and checked out the motor and it looked clean and timing belt was good so i bought it...
if buying a cheap motor or even a motor from somebody always check it out alittle....
few main things with common tools is remove spark plugs inspect them for burning oil/sludge on them, pull valve cover to see the inside of the head, and pull the top timing belt cover and make sure the belt hasnt snaped.
but even still its a risk.... thats why these places that garente there engines charge more... its worth it!
for a swap if ya kept the tranny you would just need the whole motor and wireharness on it, and a computer for it.
you can also advertise your stock motor and computer for sale.... take a video of it runing before removal and you should be able to get at least 200bucks if not more out of the poor nonVtec
