Default Wheel question

I have some GSR fat 5's and im wanting to get them powder coated. They have some minor scuffs and the clearcoat is peelin off, will getting them powdercoated fix this? Also i need some input...im wanting to get them powder coated black, but some of my friends think i should get them painted another color, mostly red or blue. I think it would alil cheesy on a type r white civic but idk. Any suggestions?

if I'm not mistaken, powder coating is a flat color scheme. there shouldn't be any clear coat involved.

btw, I think you should go with the flat black or keep the wheels natural silver.

The powdercoating process should fix the problems you describe if the wheel is prepped right to begin with. Make sure that the company who does the coating removes the old clearcoat. Oh, and go with black or silver.

My valve cover is powder coated and it looks like it has a clear coat on it. Maybe it is just a method of powder coating that produces high gloss... Not exactly sure...
