I use rustoleum flat black
+1, rust paint works really good.

Just as a note, thanks for the tip on the scrap yard, and got the arm i needed for eleven bucks. I am waiting on the paint to dry on them now before putting them back on. Its going to be a whole new world now that I am going to be able to actually see while I am driving :-)

when painting them, you can use the duplicolor semi gloss, but prep and use a good base of metal primer. i was lazy last time and just covered it with paint, now i've gotta redo everything, but oh well, i've got a sand blaster now!
