Default Yellow Corners Options

Hey guys,
I have a 2003 Civic Coupe EX. The car's head lights has the yellow side lights, and I would like to get rid of them without buying new housings. So here's my question. Other than the oven method I've been doing some reading about, is there anyway to get rid of the yellow plate/color in my headlight housing? I ask because I'm about to buy some new bulbs, and I'd like the appearance to change a bit too, but I don't want to buy new aftermarket housing, I've heard a lot of negative information about them. Anyways, thanks for the help guys!

just fyi, most states require amber turn signals and marking lights on the front of your car, so either you'll need amber bulbs, or amber lenses
