Default LED Tail Lights

Hey guys, I drive an 05 LX and I just bought some new LED tails. The connector they came with doesn't match the stock one for the night/running lights, so I can't get the harness to snap into it. The LED connect seems to fit into the stock one but they're not lighting up. Brake lights and turn signals work, the signals hyperflash but I don't really care about that right now, the problem is no running lights at night.

Attached a picture.. the stock piece is on the left, new one is on the right. Any suggestions on what to do? Dealer have a different connector I need?

Anybody got anything? Am I not explaining this correctly? Never messed with wiring or lights before... these were supposed to be plug and play.

No idea. Where did you buy them from? Have you contacted the seller regarding this?

They're Depo tail lights, got them from Amazon. The only number I've found is some number to their Taiwan office which I don't wanna call from my cell (don't have a house phone) and Amazon was unable to provide me with a number, they're supposed to be getting one for me and calling me back. Worst comes to worst I'll return them... but they look wicked so I'd really like to get it fixed.

I read something about this on a 7th gen forum once. I think you have to splice the wires. I'm also pretty sure you need to splice in some kind of resistor because LED's don't carry much of a load like incandescent lights do, so installing these without one will lead to your car thinking that you have a tail light out.

The hyperflash is due to resistance difference between the light blub and the led. For the brake light not illuminated, just check if the polarity is right for you connector.

Clip the wires and connect them with a crimp connector. Then get the LED specific relay for the turn signals so they don't flash 2x fast and drive you nuts.
