My buddy recenlty got a 90 < or so> 240SX. Got it real cheap like. Thing needs some .. love .. to say the least. lol. After repairing a few things in the car, I took it on its test drive. Make sure all the repairs were done properly.
During the lil test drive, I noticed that under brake, I could feel the front left tire move. So I played Duke, and stuck my head out the window, and hit the brake. Sure enough, the damn tire moves a good distance. I wanted to get under the thing and find out the issues, but the damn rim is stuck on. Has some rims with a lock built into the damn cap. So I couldn't see ****. =/ Anyways - anyone know what would make it do that? I'm not entirely sure how the front end is setup. If it was a Honda, I'd know exactly what to do. Damn Nissans.

It could very well be the bushing. I remember my 90 hatch doing this. It ended up being a rod was missing the bolts that kept in in place. Replaced bolts, and all was great.
Whats funny was his mechanic said his CV joint was busted. Yeah - his CV joint, because the car is FWD. Whadda dumbass. Needless to say, my buddy has been instructed to NEVER take the car to that mechanic. Otherwise I will beat his ***.

Or it could just be that it's an S13 and naturally sh*tty. (I kid, I kid.)

 

It may be ****ty, but damn its quick. My buddy went down to the track the other night < against my tellin him not to >. Has a few vids of him racing a 99Si and beating it. Also got up against a teggy and was stickin to his door. Not bad for a car that needs some lovin.

 

haha, it was a joke. I have a little love affair going with S13's. Great cars. And for a truck engine, the ka24de isn't bad (I'm not going to say the same about the single cam ka24e) either. The things are torquey, and they have ridiculous amounts of potential, that's for sure.

Personally, I'll take my S13 hatch in black with an Origin body kit, 180sx tail lights, and pink 17" TE37's with a CA18det swap

And it is a hatch. It IS black, he is getting 180 tails, and the pink te37's, not so much. lol
I know when i get my truck we are going to pick up an engine for it. I dunno what he is planning on getting. I have not yet learned the world of Nissan. The only other 240 driver I hang with put an LS1 in his. lol. But I believe he's doing a turbo build. If he's smart, he will listen to me for once and do his suspension build first. Whats the point of lots of horse power if you can't get it to the ground correctly? Let alone safely?
