prohibition failed in the twenties because it doesn't work. Criminals ran everything and there was more alcohol abuse during those years than before. That's why it was abolished. Even the supporters of prohibition admitted they were wrong. Isn't history taught in school anymore?

I'm 17 (almost 18) i could pass the driving test with one eye closed. The test is so easy that its pointless to give it a bunch of times. Old people have PHYSICALLY lost the ability to operate a motor vehicle. Thier eyes don't work as well, thier reflexes aren't as good. If you give a 16 y/o the test 6 months after he got his license, he is still gonna pass prolly get a better score from learning from his mistakes.
Word up! i'm 15 going on 16 in one month and according to the driving instructer i'm a excelent driver. if i we're to be in some type of accident (that involved more than one person) it most likey would NOT be my fault... IMO but i do think that i have been learning from my mistake's like no coming to a complete stop at a stop sign and bs like that... i do think that the say, 60 and over should be tested but maybe not every month, to me that's pushing it a little maybe every3 or 4 mo... and at my age, i have the reflex's of a cat, i know what's going on around me and i'm ready to react to whatever may happen while my *** is behind the wheel!...

well there's my 2 pennys
edit: i'm all for prohibition, cuz here in texas drunk driving and people being killed in them is outrageous!, my dad drink's a beer or two while he's driving and he know's it ****' me off but he continues to do it... but i don't think prohibition will ever come back no way there's way too many drinkers around and they'll be sure to never let it happen!

Part of the problem was enforcement. Even the president at the time was known to drink with other politicians. I

^ true i don't think the prohibition should ever be reinstated, and i think that it was the dumbest thing that the US could have ever done..... well maybe not... and being a Canadian i was able to drink at the young ol age of 19.. and for those in Quebec, they can drink at the age of 18.. now when i was 19, hell when i was 17 and first got my licence i knew how dumb it was to drink and drive, my step brother lost his licence when i was 17 do to a DUI and i was with him at the time, he said he felt fine, he acted like he was fine, he drove like he was fine, but he got pulled over cause aparently someone complained that an white integra(which is what he was driving at the time) was squeeling it tires and doing burnouts.. that was the only reason he got pulled over, he failed the bretheralizer by 0.005, the legal limit in PEI(my home provence) is 0.08 os he was 0.085 or something like that, so needles to say that i learnt from his mistake... unfortunately his brother did not, and he drinks and drives all the time. he will learn someday... myself....i am drunk right now... am i going to drive HELL NO!!!!! and i refuse to drive if i have had more then 2 and less then an hour to let it get through my system. cause like i said i learnt from mistake my friends and family have mande in the past.... now if you don't mind i am going to get another beer

yeah, but teens lack the experience of how to deal with sticky situations while driving. that's my biggest concern. just the other day, i was driving over to borders, turned off a busy street onto a side street, and nearly got hit by some teen goober in a driver's ed car. i honked my horn and he finally looked over his left shoulder as i swerved past him and he had the most retarded look on his face. but, i survived my teens without getting a ticket or being in an accident. i guess you could just look at drivers on cell phones and doing other things as darwin hard at work. that usually puts a smile on my face.
