Anyone Else Have Vista?
ORIGINAL: RenegadeCivic
I've been using Vista Ultimate (RC2) for 3 months now... no issues... that's an odd issue that it just disappears... mine does the same thing as XP... turns to a type/highlight cursor...
I need to make an advertisement for MOAB (Month of Apple Bugs) to combat that funny.. but not-so-true Mac commercial... They're just trying to gain more than 4% of the market share... LOL
P.S. That Vista commercial is pretty funny... but... then again... try to put OSX on an Apple II. Even a G3 would have a rough time with it. Vista takes a more robust computer, that's true... but not every PC has to be upgraded (mine didn't)

G3??? Get with the times man, thats an old mac it would be like taking a system built in at about the same time Windows ME and putting Vista on it, G3's cannot handle OSX well, but I could put Vista and still have OSX 10.3 with about 512 MB more of ram on my G5 and run it fine. Running photoshop, illustrator, itunes, limewire and Safari are no problem with 512 MB of ram I wanna put another 512 in. I don't wanna have a pissing match but I lean more towards apple just because they support Adobe products and other creative programs better and im in the Graphics Industry.

BTW - Adobe is a dual platform software. I can use everything you listed(other than Safari, but why would I want to do that?) on my PC... Anything you can do on a MAC, I can do on a PC.Video... Graphics... ANYTHING.

I'm a graphic / video editor by hobby... with my HP Laptop (AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 1GB RAM, 128MB Radeon video, 100GB internal hard drive... 250GB USB HDD, 250GB firewire HDD running Vista Ultimate RC2)

It's a "feature".
Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options -> Hide Pointer While Typing

Hey projectGSR... so you have no problems with ultimate? I have the home premium and my mouse dissappears over any text... is it a feature or a flaw, do you think? This computer has everything we need but only costed 1200 at costco! Really happy with it. It is a dual core VIIV.
