Okay so let me get this straight I can get away with using 89 octane? And since I love to work on my car i will run a fuel system cleaner through it every once in a while. Like seafoam engine treatment or soemthing of the sort. And I am calling my insurance company tomorrow depending on what they say my civic could be up for sale shortly.
yes '89 octane will work. I even tried the lower grades, and it produces a ping - I had to put in some octane booster to resolve this. If you have a performance chip, you will need to run 91 at least. Lower grades will result in detonation. And for the 10th time - do NOT get an automatic BMW (BMW auto trannies are made by GM for the US market)

LOL yea I couldn't stress that enough! and yea, you should stick around no matter what - HCf is one of my favorite forums even though I've never even owned a honda. Check out bimmerforums.com for any kind of BMW advice - it's my 2nd favorite forum
