Default Certified Cashier checks???

are they legit or scams? i've been getting alot of offers for my car , but just last night and this morning i received c ouple of emails talking about they wanna purchase but if i accept certified cashier checks.? scam or no?

Iwouldn't do it unless you talk to the person face to face. A lot of scammers want your info like name and address. Dont do it.

I would only accept cash or a wire transfer.

Where I work we have recieved couterfiet cashiers checks.
We even accepted American Express traveler's checks once thinking they must be good but after we deposited them the bank notified us that they had been reported stolen by the owner and therefore were not redeemable.

i would only do it if they give you the cheque in advance and not hand over the papers till it clears. but to play it safe then cash only if in person

AT LEAST wait until it clears. I, personally, would only deal with cash and money orders...

I would only take cash. It isn't hard at all to get a couple thousand in cash. I personnaly withdrew $2200 from my bank and the teller didn't ask a single question.
