I agree andryuha. An old 993 would suffice, man, even a GTO or he could've gone back the vette route. The Cobalt SS is not such a terrible car, it just doesn't fit.

Damn. My dad had a midlife crisis and bought a station wagon. Look out for the wild man!

I've heard really bad things about the Cobalts, namely from Consumer Reports.
For example, a Cobalt OWNER reports their impression of the car as:
"Pros: Acceleration, Ride, Pioneer Sound System
Cons: Fuel Economy, Reliability, Quality Control"
The guy goes on to tell a story about a complete break falure within the first two weeks of ownership.

In fact, just on their surface, the whole 06 Chevrolet line looks kind of crappy. But that's just my impression of the way they look (poorly designed) and sound (shoddy) on the road.

Strange enough, I see more of those new Cobalts in my area than new Civics. Why is that?

lol, I'v come to terms that arguing a domestic compact to a civic website might as well get me as far as arguing a cummings on a powerstroke forum

well, simple things...things that you cant say are "wrong", but other cars do have them...in considering the "problems" with the cobalt, i base my comparison on a car in a similar class. in this case, it was a base model neon. i would say that the power was comparable between the two, but if someone is buying a base model neon or cavalier, they arent hunting for performance.

base model neon...power locks, power front windows, cd/casette player, cruise control
base model cobalt...manual locks, manual windows, am/fm radio...

i found the seats to be very unsupportive compared to the neon, or the base model lancer...and no arm rest?
