computer help, no audio

sup guys. i just reformatted my computer last night with XP pro.everythin went great, until i went to install my audio driver. i have an intergrated audio card, and i installed my video driver and network driver with no problems. except when i installed my audio driver from the Dell resource CD that came with my computer, it didnt work. the driver appeared in add/remove programs, but not in device manager nor in sounds and audio devices. any help would be appreciated. thanks

uninstall
you say u installed xp, did you have xp before?
iinstall in a clean boot

microsoft document # 310353 follow method 2 when you restart the computer install there

You could also find out what brand the audio card it, and download the newest driver from their support web site.
