DIY Section Overhaul Project
I think the chop shop DIYs should be a subforum in the chop shop section, and we can name it "tutorials". Just like our engine and internal section has subforums for swaps
yeah IB may give you server space but its limited. if HCF gets 1000 more members, you got to think about how much space thats going to take (avatars, garage, pic albums, ect) plus each post is space.. i mean you could store them on the server but its more practical to store them off-server to keep space for when its needed.
edit: its already like that trust, and i agree, GFX tutorials should stay in the chop shop, but i think audio/video diy's should be up there, maybe even another one for electronic diy's, such as how to swap clusters, pull codes from ecu, how to wire neons, ect.

Which one of the "DIY halos on an aux. switch" threads should we keep? Neither have pics, and John barely ever pops his head in, so I doubt he'd be able to get us the original pics if he even still has them.
Got some good progress in today.
We need some people to glance through the list of DIYs on post 1 of this thread and see if you have pictures we can use to replace what has been lost. Post in this thread if you do.
Again, if you have a DIY you'd like to have posted, post here and/or PM a moderator. Doesn't matter if you wrote it or you found a cool one on another site. We'll welcome them.

It's not super-important but it's bugging me...
someone please capitalize the "Vin" in the title to "VIN" and make the title not redundant... VIN is an acronym and 'N' stands for number... vehicle identification number numbers is essentially what the title of the sticky is... make it "VIN Code Information" or something
https://www.hondacivicforum.com/foru...ad.php?t=80571
Also, it feels like we have way too many stickies, particularly in general civic talk and general tech and sometimes are redundant... for example, why do we need 2 stickies about chassis codes? Combine them or get rid of one... Forty04's thread (links to NOFX @ Honda-tech's master chassis code list) is much better anyway
The "what engine do I have and does it have VTEC" sticky is missing the thread's crucial picture, and I also feel like this sticky could be renamed something more simple, such as "How to identify your engine"... this would also eliminate the apparent confusion among noobs (see the replies to the thread if you don't know what i'm talking about) thinking it's just a typical thread of someone asking a question
