I have one...And I use it, and I drive faster than the posted limit...but I'm never doing more than 15 over on a public roadway...and I would never do it if there was even a slight chance of somethign happening...
My trip to work is I-95 before traffic gets going....and on my way back there's no traffic again

I've been on I-95 a bunch of times going 100 and having people pass me. The flow of traffic on that road is crazy.

im looking at getting a Valentine 1, but theyre damn expensive and im pretty sure radar detectors are illegal in michigan.

depends on where you are....here in Philly it's all about construction in some areas...and if I'm 15 minutes late going out to work....I can sit in traffic for hours

Also in PA, especially in Philadelphia, cops no longer use radar...or laser for that matter also...I hate that...so owning a radar detector in Philadelphia is pointless.

I have one and it lets me know when Ambulances are coming and if a train is nearby on the tracks as I go over it, and also lets me know if their is a road hazard ahead and it is only $85 at circuit city.

i got my whistler for 20 bucks ..where else...walmart... its got vg2 and national weather alerts..
... picks up the cops nicely...
he wasnt worried about wether ur car was an escort..
escort makes radar dectors
phillie is using radar.. along with the rest of the state..but most newer radar dectors also pick up laser... its the "microwave" guns u have to be careful about..and remember.. cops have vg2.. which is radar dectector dectectors...soo if its illegal in ur state and u have one..they can get you for having it

Naaah....obviously you weren't cought lately in Philly....they are using something called vascard...or however it is spelled...it's the two lined on the road and they measure the time it takes you to get from the one to the other....for the past six months I have never picked up radar around here...except for the bogus walmart parkinglot type of alert...
