If you live in a populated area, you should be able to rent a hoist ($30?). There are a ton of equipment rental places around here, but Chicago is just a little populated. Sometimes the U-Haul or truck rental places have equipment for rent. If its going to take days, you might want to consider the buy/sell that the others recommended.

or if ya like craigslist.... post on thier WTR want to rent a hoist....

im sure someone on thier has one just siting around they wouldnt mind renting to ya.... say like 50bucks deposit... and when ya give it back ya get half that back or something like that... at least something to try...



if you where close enough id rent ya mine but im WAY far away from ya.LMFAO
ive got several around my dads shop...

yeah...so i checked out the one at harbor frieght...ill probably pick one of those up this weekend...and sell it...ive been checking craigslist but 129 seems pretty good deal..

as for picking it up...i would but..im lazy and if this engine doesnt work..the old on is going back in so gatta have somthing....and gatta bolt up the tranny all that stuff so hoist is what i want.
