to be honest i saw the movie thought it was cool but didn't get into the import scene till about 2 years ago. when i bought a 99 civic ex. the downfall was i couldn't afford the loan after a year and a half so my parents repoed my car. and they sold it to pay the loan off.

when did the movie come out again?

The movie (and a friend of mine) was the reason I got my car. But I didn't start realizing how stupid the movie was until I started working on said car! Sure, they're good show cars....But not good movie cars. Every little scratch, ding, busted knuckle, part that didn't fit right, race scene, etc. that was lost in the translation between real world and movie magic made me love working on my car more. The movie sucked after about an hour working on/under my car muttering "WTF" like 20 times!

i will be honest...until FATF i was a domestic guy. Vipers and Vettes. those were it. a saleen S7 was big too but not as much. my step grandpa was a Vette guy, he owned a C1, two C3s, two C4s, and a C5. so i was BIG into vettes. FATF really did turn me onto the import scene.

I saw the movie and threw up for the next two hours on how many people actually fell for it and how much it soiled the real tuner market

But remmy, that movie's AWESOME!!! Do you know how many semi trailers I've driven under because I was trying to get in the far lane? Too many to count! You do that without modding either the truck or the car, and you're gonna be taking out from your shoulders up! Though on the plus side, you'd have one of very few convertible civics!!!

I hate how much that movie has ruined the tuner scene, wait till the third one comes out and ruins the drift scene....
