Good Luck getting hired wherever you want being 16 with the unnemployment sitting where its at... It took me about 6 months of getting in debt from my insurance/phone before I FINALLY got hired at walmart, I get 10% off on hubcaps though but I have no steelies

exactly. Gettin a job where you want is going to be difficult. Your 16 with no experience and nobody know who you are or your work ethic. IF you know someone who works somewhere hiring and theyll put in a good word, go for it. Also, they probably wont allow you to work at pepboys since youre only 16. I had applied there at 17 and they assume you have zero car knowledge and wont hire. I worked at mcdonalds for my first job, easy as pie. Now I work at honda

if u lived in bama, i would suggest a job in a steel mill, once you r 18 of course. i only know cars and steel. it pays well. its also like a free gym membership cuz every job @ a steel mill is hard...

I worked at a grocery store for 6 six years (14-20). When I left, I was making enough to pay some bills and mod my car. Then I worked in call centers for like 4 years. I now work for Mishimoto talking about modding cars all day.

If anything go to a local Applebees or some kind of restaurant. most big places could always use a busser or a dishwasher. I started working at my neighbors restaurant over 2 years ago (when I was 15) just bussing tables on Friday's, didn't get paid much but it was somethin. After a few monthes of that I became a waiter and have done that since. Such an easy job, it is ridiculous. Stand around and carry food, and at the end of the night I'm basicaly making minimum $15 an hour. I saved it all until the car, so I have a nice amount of funds in the bank for car/college. I'm going to go to Honda dealer by me and see if I can get a job being a lot bitch or something while I'm in college, get my foot in the door and have 2 incomes. I'm probably going to go to be an auto tech so if I can start at Honda now I'll have a better chance being "promoted" later. And eventually I'll own my own shop with some friends doing performance and normal stuffs.

It took me like 3 or 4 months to get a job after I turned 16. I applied at pretty much everywhere in town that hires 16 year olds. The place I got hired at (Taco Bell) was the only place interested in hiring me at all and the only place I even got an interview.

And this was when the economy was still good.

You're gonna have to apply everywhere you can and you're not going to have much to choose from. Many 16 year olds I know of refuse to work in a fast food restaurant... these are also the same 16 year olds who can't find a job. The food business is probably where you will get the most luck.
