Yeh, Im afraid Im gonna have to end up going to a fastfood place:/ but whatever, money is money.
Oh yeh alwaysbored786?? thats awesome heh. I just applied at bestbuy yesterday for a cashier/customer service heh. Only thing there for a 16 year old.
Yeh, I would much rather apply at a restaurant then at a fast food.
Thanks for the advice everyone, much appreciated

when i turned 18, out of highschool, i got 2 jobs. they were my first 2 jobs. the first was at a gillete distribution center. i woulkd go around a warehouse picking orders for companies such as walmart and other places. made 12.50/hr. and my second job was at walmart as a cashier. i started off at 8.something and now making almost 11. been there 3 years. i could have moved to different places (in the store) such as the tire/lube auto as a tech but because of school and soccer(college) i couldnt make the hours. but i love working as a cashier. you see alot of milfs and hot hot girls. lol. i think walmart hires 16 yr olds. that would be a good place to work. you get 10% on everything. not much, but its something. and they are almost always hiring.
Good luck with the job search.
At 17 I worked at a local bowling alley
At 20, I started working for a local campus police department writing parking tickets
At 22, I got a better job with the popo doing less work for more money
I don't recommend dispatching for police lol.

Am I the only one who's parents told me to get a job at 14?!
actually started around age 12 working at my Grandma's Drive-In. Worked for another restaurant after that, then landed a job at a grocery store for 3 years. Did assembly line type stuff while going to school. At the same company now (8.5 years later) but have been doing graphic design and IT/Networking for over 6 years.
Swallow your pride, climb the ladder, and make that money fool

lol, if it makes you feel any better I worked for my dad's business when I was 14 or 15... but idk if I would call that a real job.
Forty, check my post. I started working 10 days after I turned 14. However, I wasn't forced. I just wanted money to buy PS2 when it came out like 3 months later and I knew I wasn't going to be able to get that kind of money from the rents. I kinda just got used to working on the weekends and after school on friday and having some extra money in my pocket.
Look into labor jobs if you don't mind working hard...pays more
