im looking into getting hired by EDS, a government contractor. They are going to sponser me for a TS clearance if all goes well! Wish me luck! Hopefully they dont think im too young, im 19.

Your best bet if your interested in mechanics is to find a privately owned shop, and start from the bottom. You may have to work for pennies but just remember your getting and education at the same time.

Acualy I forgot about my summer job I had when I turned 16. No one in my family owns a business so I couldn't work before 16. But I did plenty of thigs that can count as a job from age 10-11. My parents own a 3 family house and I would paint the house, hang drivewall, concrete the patio, and other stuff. And I would also help my moms with cleaning office buildings at like 12. But I would never get paid for them.

I like that idea, it just seems like at a privately owned place, they wouldn't some inexperienced 16 year old hangin around and then them having to pay the kid lol.

maybe Im wrong?
I actually know of one only about a mile away from where I live. Ill ask him
