For those of yall that keep up with it, what did you think of the race and the qualifying mishaps this weekend?

I dont care for F1 because they are a bunch of whinny *** drivers. They came to Indianapolis this year to race and got all pissy because nobody cared about them because IRL and Nascar has more fans. I myself am a IRL andThe Rolex Sports Car Series. But what happened?

Not like IRL gets that much attention either. At least there's no more Indianapolis to worry about....

meh, WRC is much more fun to watch. Although I am a bit of an F1 fan. I don't watch the races much, but I read about it.

Totally agree, I do watch F1 occasionally, but i would much rather watch a WRC competition anyday, or even just normal Rally, doesn't have to be WRC

Ok I agree with a lot of what's said, and a lot of times other racing is more fun to watch, but there is no other form of racing that has reached the technical pinnacle F1 has and that's a fact, no arguing about it.

But about the controversy...essentially massa ran out of fuel in q2 and didn't make q3

Hamilton directly dissobeyed team orders about pitting, screwed up alonso

Alonso sat in pits for 20 seconds while hamilton waited right behind him, and hamilton did not get his flying lap for qualifying

Alonso claims engineers were holding him there

Alonso gets penalized five spots anyway

Hamilton coasts to win during race, but macca gets no team championship points...

Raikonnen (in my opinion) is fastest in the race yet again (third or fourth race now) but do to starting behind hamilton, cannot make pass, emphasizing the main problem most people have with f1

you'd be surprised by nascar if you're not familiar with the actual cars, maybe not the most technical, but they're right on up there.

Yes, Rally is fun to watch. But f1 is the most inovative racing on the planet. No other form has done more for the advacement of automotive technology

x2

The thing that kills me about F1 is the attitude of the sport. Cocky and self absorbed millionaires. And IMO the racing is just boring as hell. They get out there, fight for spots for a couple laps and then you better buckle down because it looks like a day at the gocart track after that. The one thing i can say about Nascar is you can tell for the most part that the drivers and crews love what they do and know they are lucky to be able to make money at it and there is great compitition no matter the opinion you have of th cars and such. Also Nascar has made way and put into motion vast improvements in safty for everyday use, production car performance, aftermarket suspension geometry, and areodynamics. Plus to me it is impressive for them to have traditional small block V8's turning 9000+rpm for 85 to 90% of a 500 mile race.
