That's why clutch kits come with alignment tools.

but still, just picking the damn thing up and getting it onto the damn shaft by myself is a strain. it would be easy with a lift and a trany jack though. oh, and ive aligned a clutch by eye before. not easy. only took two trys.

damn........ i coud turbo my hatch for that price[8D] well build a kit for that price. as far as clutch alignment.....if i dont have an alignment too my finger does the job quit well. id prefer to change a rwd clutch over a fwd clutch anyday. way more room to work it out with. although id hate to change a clutch on a 4x4, either having to remove it with or without the transfercase.

You have never climbed under a 93 or later F-Body either. You wanna talk about no room at all. All is fine though now, I can hit second and walk sideways again.

you must be able to lift the engine and tranny out at the same time if you needed to right?

Yep, if I pulled the engine and tranny at the same time all I would need to do is drop the crossmember and bring it out the bottom. To pull it out from up top you damn near have to take the front end of the car off as the engine sits about 6 inchs or so under the cowl and on the front there is not 6 inchs to move it foward unless remove everything from the radiator support to the headligh motors.
