What kind of pistol for trade...?

[edit] Oh, scrolled up just a little...

Dude, I'd trade. That rifle would be more fun. That little derringer isn't much at all. Needs more stopping power.

but the ammo for that damn thing is outrageous lol. $20 gets you only 30 bullets.

Well, my P12 will be back up and running sometime next week. A Wilson Combat extended slide release will be on its way most likely monday. After that, I'll probably get the extended safety and beavertail grip safety.

The new slide release is on the P12

I'll have pics up tomorrow or Friday of my fancy new extended slide release. Also, I just realized I haven't done anything to the AR15 build lately, so I'll have to fix that. I'm thinking I'll probably grab a lower receiver extension tube and a trigger guard and throw them both on; that would leave me with the stock and trigger group to buy and the lower receiver would be done.

*edit: I got impatient.

no carry for that gun now

Pull back on the slide with a round in the magazine to load a round into the chamber. Very rarely should you have to use the "slide release" re: Slide Stop.

Still, awesome gun Reaper. Would love to shoot her.

It's a blast to shoot. The recoil's a little on the strong side (.45ACP out of a 3.5" barrel) but still pretty manageable (I'd say no worse than my XD40 SC). The only reason I replaced the slide stop as because the pin broke clean in half so the slide wasn't even attached to the frame. The extended unit doesn't stick out any further than the original, it's just a little longer, so carry still wouldn't be an issue. Speaking of carry, I really need to get on the whole "obtain my CCDW" thing; I've been putting it off forever.

And since I'm posting in here anyway, no progress with the AR build recently as I've been caught up in apartment hunting and now paying for the move. Hopefully next month I'll be able to start the build up. I'm actually already in the planning stages for the next few builds. Next up will be an AR57 (5.7x28mm, uses FN P90 magazines and the AR magazine well becomes the ejection port) and after that I'm thinking about a .50 Beowulf build. I need to finish the AR15 carbine build first though.

And I'm thinking next up on the handgun list is either a Beretta M9 or another 1911. Rock Island Armory has a GI model 1911 that has decent reviews for a great price. I might scoop one up, drop a few hundred in add-ons and have a custom 1911 for the price of an off-the-shelf mid-level 1911.

But so many plans and not enough money... I did some quick math the other day and I realized for what I plan on spending on firearms (by the time I actually finish my current list) I could buy a new car. A quick run-down is several AR variants (several 5.56mm, 5.7x28mm, .50 Beowulf, maybe a .45ACP), an AKM, a few 1911s, an ACR, an MP5 clone (CA94), a PS90, and a few more handguns (a few XDs, M9s, etc).
