New light bulbs

 

ive heard that they can actually make lightbulbs to last a looong time, they just dont because if they did then you wouldnt need to replace y our lightbulbs, therefore the lightbulb instustry wouldnt make any money.

if they filled the bulb completely with nitrogen, or other inert , non oxidizing gas, they would pretty much last forever. but in order to keep the lighting industry alive, they put a few molecules of oxygen into each bulb to oxidize the filiment, making it essentially rusting it away with time.

 

damn economy making me replace my light bulbs. we should just go back to candle light. thatll teach those gready lightbulb makers a lesson
