How much are you paying for gas and where are you located?

I noticed gas prices are going down, which is good news. I thought it would be interesting to see what people in different areas are paying for gas.

How much are you paying, and where are you located?

My closest BP is at 3.09 a gallon, and the lady told me it's going down tonight again. I'm in Titusville, FL (space coast)

RonJ 10-12-2008 07:41 PM

Houston, TX
I buy gas at a Valero station where the price is currently $3.04/gallon. I saw another station tonight selling gas for $2.97/gallon.

Sigracer10 10-12-2008 07:48 PM

Arlington, TX

bought it last night for 2.96/gallon. but I didn't pay any attention today so it may be cheaper now

WellFedHobo 10-12-2008 07:54 PM

$3.06 in Little Rock last I checked. Probably going down soon.

driftingfan 10-12-2008 07:58 PM

$ 1.02 litre Toronto Ontario so like $3.85 a gallon if its 3.78 litres.

jprommel 10-12-2008 09:38 PM

Why do you think the elections are the cause? I've heard that demand is way down due to recent high gas prices. In addition, the price for a barrel of crude oil has plummeted to about $74. I think the price was $140/barrel not long ago.

exactly. elections have nothing to do with it.
crude oil prices went down about a month ago, but it takes about a month for us to see the effects of those price changes at the pump.

brokenarmboy19 10-12-2008 10:22 PM

$3.30

jprommel 10-12-2008 10:30 PM

oh okay i was under the assumption that the republican party was pulling strings in the big oil companies to get them to lower gas prices so that the people would vote more favorably towaards them =] but thats prob just my conspiracy filled mind thinking =[ lol youre reasoning makes much more sense. damn logic wins again :'(

Marty 10-13-2008 06:01 AM

2.84 everywhere locally. And the election does have something to do with it. Poloticians get money from oil companies in return of them turning a blind eye to price gouging and environmental effects of the oil companies methods of refining and so on. In return the oil companies will let loose on more capacity so demand will go down therefore that will not be a issue that is not played up in the elections IMO.

Sigracer10 10-13-2008 07:03 AM

saw it for 2.90 on the way to school this morning

Try.Fail.Repeat 10-13-2008 09:53 AM

yea i know what you mean
recently installed a custom program chip i ordered from phearable, and i have to use 93, because in my area they usually only sell 87, 89, 93. I guess with gas going down though the extra cost doesn't seem as bad anymore, it's still less for 93 than it was for 87, 3 months ago

Marty 10-16-2008 08:08 PM

$2.79 here now for 87

sfazngiants 10-16-2008 09:21 PM

looking at all you guys gas prices makes me drool. lol. it is $3.51 for regular at the station i fill up and it is usually one of the cheaper stations around my area. i am located in San Francisco, California btw

trustdestruction 10-16-2008 09:23 PM

^oh yea, i forgot about that
last time i was in san fran was like 2 years ago, and i remember gas there was like 75 cents more expensive than orlando at the time

sfazngiants 10-16-2008 09:26 PM

yea gas prices sucks in california especially in san francisco and the surrounding cities

Blame your state. Your state requires cleaner fuel and they tax it like no other.
