Yeah, traffic class will lower your insurance by 10-15% usually, it's well worth it anyways!

And as for neons, they're definitely illegal here in NY but I don't know where you are so it could be different

 

Well here in oregon the deffered judification you can get one ticket but if you get another before your 18 then you will have to pay both of them. But with the neons the trooper I asked for the advice on said that they should be fine as long as there not blue or red, or any shade of. So I had them on green but considering I was not on a public roadway it doesnt make sense to me why I could get written up for them, I mean afterall I did turn them off before rolling any tire on to the road.

 

Here in Texas I think the law states you can have them on your car, but can only turn them on when parked or in a parking lot. If you are caught driving with them on, no matter the color, it will result in a fine.

 

"on to the road" isnt good enough, if you had them on while moving at all then you're at fault. Ive been pulled over for that in my 02 many of times. I always ended up being pulled over by the tuner fans though and never got a single ticket

 

In tennessee any neon lighting while a car is in motion is lillegal. while it is not in motion the colors blue and red for neon are illegal. thats why i stick with green. also having any red or blue light anywhere on the outside of the car is illegal. also having any rear facing white light is illegal. it can only be projected on the liscence frame and that is it. (besides your reverse light of course). also in tennessee i got pulled over once and i asked him to see the radar printout. and he said, and i qwote, " i don't hafta show you ****." so you'ns kinda got it lucky whereever you live. damn you lucky ****s

 

Yeah basically I was rolling out to the road and the cop passed and I turned them off right before i pulled out onto the road. So I am really unsure of what I will do but stillt he fact reamins that he told me I was doing 85, then he told my mother I was doing 77 and the whole time my speedometer read 60, regardless i was speeding but why would he be that incompetant of getting his story straight.

It just seems so rediculous that evan though I wasn't evan on the roadway that he can give me a 93$ fine

 

I would look into the law, if it states that your car must be parked then you were in the wrong. It is best to keep up to date on petty laws like that, because the cops love to get us who modify our cars any chance they get.
