mabey because its on public property? like not really a road but a "road way"...you could try and fight it saying it was off once you go on the road, mabey the guy wont show up and you'll win, this one cop was telling me then when a cop has a cort date about a speeding tickit or whatever they station books that day off for them..so alot of the time they just skip the cort and enjoy there day off

 

man i can't believe that no one thought of this... fight the ticket and take you family friend state trooper with you... then he can say that you asked him if there was any laws against it, and he can help you.... well i hope he can help you cause that is a bull**** ticket right there

 

^ That is exactly what my mom suggested. Yeah so anywho I found out he told me parents the reason he didint give me a speeding ticket was becasue he never had me on radar, my mom told me that, My dad however is being a dick about it becasue he works at the state pen. so he wont evan consider listening to me about what happened as far as he thinks i was creuising down the road with the neons flashing and I was doing 77mph. My mom on the other hand is actually going to help me out about the whole thing and suggested I go talk to the family friend.

 

in pa the law reads the asc. lighting must be turned off when vehicle is in motion drive reverse neutral.. the car must be standing in park to have lights on... soo he could try to get you for that... moving ur car and having the lights... if theres no points attached to the fine just pay it.. dont do what my friend did.. he got a citation for his music being up while in town.. fought it... the original citation was for a noise ordinace law it was 50 dollars to the local cops... he fought it and they pressed the issue... he got a 250 dollar fine.. and another 100 in court costs

 

i've never heard of cops calling a parent over a traffic stop [&:]

Yeah that was the first time I had ever herd of them doing that. It really confused me not that I really care other then the fact he couldnt get his story about the speed straight. but oh well what can you do I goto court on the 10th for it so I will tell you what happens then.

 

I feel your pain. i gotta go to court on the 13th to fight a ticket. cop says he clocked me doing 73 around a 90 degree turn. With a raised median in the middle. Surrounded by 3ft deep ditches on both side. With telephone poles basically on the road on either side. In my 02 Si hatch. Yeah. needless go say alot of pics will be taken to show that theres no way i couldve done that. FIGHT THE POWER!

 

I ggot pulled by a city cop because my plasma white neons under my car had a blue tint to them, so I changed the color to them and then he told me to roll my window up for him and he put a sensor over my window and it read that my window tinting was 14% and he gave me a 75 dollar ticket for that since he could not give me a ticket for the lights....he was a dick.

 

Goto library and lookup the state code on lighting...if it is not illegal to have them, then see wether or not is says they are illegal if the car is in motion. If it says they are legal while the car is parked...then your screwed on a technicality!! If it says they are only illegal on public roads and YOU WERE NOT IN THE ROAD then fight it! He's being a dick! To me it sounds like he wanted a reason to pull you over (speeding) so he could write you a ticket for the lights... It sounds like he's being a dick to me! But if he did not write you for the speeding then the judge won't even listen to what happened with that!...Good LUCK!
