I dont' think its statutory if your 18 and she is 17.

 

I allways thought if you were 18 you had a 3 year type of period before it was rape I may be wrong though as it has been like 7 years sense I was 18 lol

 

its like 16 is the legal age to have sex. if 15 year olds have sex then its illegal. if a 16 year old has sex witha 15 year old its technically statutory rape...even if it is concensual. then 18 is the next line where if one person is 18 and the other is younger than 18 then its again statutory rape. so since my girlfriend is about half a year younger than i am..if we had sex between when i turned sixteen and when she turned sixteen it would be statutory rape. the same case happens in the five months between when i turn 18 and she turns 18.

oh yeah. and sex means intercourse. so a 17 year old chick could blow a 21 year old dude and it wouldnt be statutory rape.

Okay see there is a year and 4 month difference between me and her and here in oregon if I did any "sexual activity" i could goto jail and here in oregon the age of consent is also 18.

no. but its a big topic around our school. i know that one girl had concensual sex with her boyfriend when she was fifteen and he was seventeen and then she filed for statutory rape. ever since then the whole 'statutory rape' thing has been a big thing around our school. i think maybe 30...35 tops...percent of our student body are virgins. so you get to know a lot on the topic when its a big casual conversation topic.

for instance. a couple months ago my friend (girl) and i were in detention together. it was a 250 detention...it actually goes on your record as an after school suspension. its a 2 hour detention from 2:50-4:50. well after all the regular detention kids leave the adults who watch us dont really care about us. so they just let us hang out and play cards, gamble, i know some drug deals go down in detention right by them and they dont care. kids in 250s even have casual talks with the moniters about funny stories when they were high and stuff. well...to get to the point...this girl and i were serving detention together and a guy is like 'so tenee what are you doing tonight?' 'i dunno...making muffins prolly'

its a very casual subject around here.

 

the laws vary from state to state.ive heard it all the ways you guys have mentioned, so before anyone assumes anything is true, research it for your state. oh, and if a neighboring state has more lax laws, dont run to the border and do it. transporting a minor across state lines is illegal too.[&:]
