Default I'm ready to buy!

I've finally got some cash saved up to buy my Civic. Been workin a lot of overtime!

I've been lookin for a few weeks now for a 99-00 DX SE Hatchback, manual, A/C, but haven't seen one in my price range yet. Today I went lookin at a car lot and saw a sexy lookin 2001 Si (Canadian, so it's the 135HP model), loaded, 120km (that's about 75,000 miles) and put an offer in for it. I'll probably find out in the next few days if I get approved for the extra cash it's gonna cost. Engine runs smooth and quiet, and it's clean (and hasn't even been shampooed yet).

Just a note: I don't have a good credit rating since I got divorced and my ex ran up all the credit cards and I had to claim bankruptcy. So I have to pay cash all the time. If this place approves me for a loan, it'll be at about 22% instead of the usual 5-7% since I'm classed as high risk. I figure I can have the loan paid off in 3 months if they approve me.

I'm anxious, and just had to tell someone! [sm=icon_rock.gif]

Yeh, I'm past all the divorce stuff. I just have to deal with cash now because of the bankruptcy (for 5 more years).

hahahahahaa, you guys got the shaft on that one.

i'm excited to hear you're getting yourself a civic though buddy. congrats! especially since i know how rough a divorce can be financially. my dad left my mom with no money after they divorced and i live at her house, so i have to work full time to support myself for gas, food, clothes, insurance, and new goodies for the civic. hope your loan goes through!

You got that right! I guess in the good ole USA, your Si has 160HP.
Our Canadian 160HP model is the SiR, but I don't like the looks of the 2001 and up SiRs.

Well, I haven't got it yet. Only if the high interest loan goes through. If not, I'll keep lookin for a 99-00 SE Hatchback like I really want so that I can do an engine swap and also save up some more cash for the big buy.
