Kelley Blue Book
It's pretty accurate. The reason that the Blue Book value is lower than what private owners are asking for their cars is just that they know people look at Kelly Blue Book (it's nationally standard) and they want to give themselves some room to haggle. As a seller, they're trying to get a good deal, too.
Just really depends on the car. Some cars hold their value better than others. I think I've only seen a few civics sell for their blue book value around here in recent years, when I was looking anyway. They usually sell above.
KBB is hear say prices. Not accurate at all IMO. It does not think about supply, demand, and all the other issues that drive car prices. A little hint, a court of law will not recongnize the price of a car by KBB.

Usually if you split the difference between prices you get from KBB and the N.A.D.A. book you can ususally come up with what people will want to pay for a vehicle.
P.S. I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!
