Let's talk cell phones
$100 service plan? I'll pass lol
My phone is still on my parent's plan (not sure how I managed that as I haven't lived in the same state as my parents for over a year, and the plan is set up in PA, so I'm sure I'd have problems trying to update the plan in KY. Also, I'd prefer something a little less bulky than the iPhone... I really have nothing against them, I just don't think it's for me.

Blackberries are garbage
I work in an at&t wireless call center. We do collections (payment arrangements and such) so I cant really give any hookups or anything but I can give my advise. If you plan on staying on your parents plan for a long time then just accept an agreement to keep ur service for at least two more years in exchange for a big discount on a simple phone. Anything but lg, pantech, or sony ericson because people bitch and complain about those much more than any other phone. Or you can buy an iphone4 for $200-$300 with ur upgrade(retail is $600-$800) and turn around and sell it on ebay for $400+ and use the profit to buy a phone on craigslist/ebay and pocket the difference.
The biggest thing is since the plan s in my father's name, I'm not sure I can modify/update it. That's why it's just easier for me to buy an unlocked phone through eBay or Amazon and throw my SIM card in it.
I know this doesn't happen often, but I agree with you

I wonder why you thing BB are garbage? I fuсking support 20 BB users every day and they are generally not an issue... unlike the iPhone that is a piece of utter garbage when it comes to reliability... it doesn't even have reception in the corner I work in, where both of my BBs (Tmobile and verizon) have full signal.
