Lil Late...CHALLENGER IS A GO!!!!!
I like it! Its about time dodge brought a muscle car name back for a muscle car. Dont get me wrong i like the charger but considering it looks nothing like the original i think they should have named it something different.
^ that AND that they made it a 4 door
i mean come on, you think charger you think classic musscle, not a family sedan
IMO the Challenger is nice looking, i like how there isn't a billion things on it to distract you

well the Challenger R/T concept has the 6.1 425hp Hemi, which puts down roughly 360-370 ish WHP and in the 4300lb 300C can produce mid to high 12 second passes stock. So im guessing with a good driver this car could run a mid to low 12
and the lack of details in real life gives it a very clean tucked image, its unbelievably gorgeous in real life.

its very.....bland. lack of detail steers me away. otherwise its pretty good lookin. what kinda numbers does it put down?

It will run around the same times because the Challenger wieghs in at around 4300lbs also. And on top of that a SRT8 300C does not run no mid 12's stock.

an srt8 300C or charger is *capable* (as in, it has happened, but not every unit does) run in the high 12s, stock. at another forum of mine, a vendor has a charger srt8 for a shop car, and with exhaust and better tires, they ran a best of 12.80...the challenger weighs 4160 pounds (also the listed curb weight for the 300C srt-8), and that is without anyone in it, and with no fuel. however, there have been several comments made by DCX reps that the challenger will come with either a 5 speed auto stick, or a 5-speed transmission, not the 6-speed that many were hoping for. this could have been an incorrect statement by the rep, but either way, we all know that a manual transmission is at least slightly more efficient than automatic, so the challenger should be able to turn out slightly better times.
DCX reps have also said that (luckily) the ghetto trash 22 inch wheels wont be making it to production, as they rub. on the challengers west coast 'teaser tour', they had hoped to put around 100 miles on the car, with the huge wheels, but they didnt stray more than a mile or so from the confines of the challenger's hauler, unless they switched to the srt-8 wheels.

If they made the Charger a 2 door like the original there would be no room for the Challenger. Its genius, now Dodge has 2 bad *** cars for under 40k dollars that can run with some serious performing cars. When dodge first re introduced us to the Charger in 1998 it was a 4 DOOR!! yet no one was complaining with the concept, as it looked bad *** as well.
o and you can complain about the 4 doors ALL DAY LONG, no American made sedan today (except for maybe the 300C SRT8) has this kind of road presence.
