lolol you guys and your "router" ideas. You have no idea the precision involved over hand tools. Im sure many of you guys that have LCAs, lower tie bars, etc are CNC machined

So at the moment I'm facing a dilemma. Hate to decide whether I like rack and pinioin, belt, or ball screw table drives better. Since I'm trying to utilize the KISS method I might just got with rack and pinion even though it might cost more than belts.

id imagine that way wo uld be easiest. Also it hink you could have more wear and tear on a belt setup.

But the belt setup also acts as a shock absorber if your have motor resonance... but all this is theoretical mumbo-jumbo to me until I actually do it! So I won't get into speculation about crap I don't know until I try and fail and try again.
