Its not that i'm biased towards Dell or anything. Hell i use one of thier laptops and i had one of thier desktops forever b4 i got my HP. I still stand by my statement that Dells has 0 upgradability. Now to the upgrade-ability
You can see 4 (not the 2 you claim) slots for RAM. I bought 2GB of Corsair DDR2SDRAM @400MHz. It'll take 4GB
I added in 1 300GB HD SATA, 1 VGA 7800GTX.
No power issues...no wire issues...nothing that you speak of. I still have room for 2 more HDs and DVD/CD etc....

300HD 150.00
PCI-E 460.00
2GB Ram 120.00
total 1165.00
It's one banging system that tears up Half-life, Doom3, StarWars, BF1942/BF2 etc......
I've had no down time etc...just plug and play. My CPU before this was a custom Hypersonic rig that cost ~3500.00. That was cutting edge 5 years ago couldn't play anything today. Live and learn. Drbyers is correct. It is outdated as soon as you plug it in...just enjoy it while you can.

I'm an CompTIA A+ certified computer technician and i've been working on computers for 5 years. When i look at a computer, i know what i'm looking at. Except for PCI-E since it wasn't invented when i learned A+.

OK. What uber-pissed me off with the Dell my friend got was the hard drive issue. You need special clips to install hard drives (wasn't like that before, you should jus slide the HD into the slot and install the screws). The Dell didn't come with any extra clips. I wasn't about to buy clips from Dell so i jus installed the HD into the floppy bay.

I'm not a total dell fan..just saying they have some good deals...I have one at work that bellied up. Of course it was mine..LOL New board installed and 10 minutes later I was surfing again. Look around for a good deal. There is always something out there to be had. LOL Ask me about the 17" LCD monitor I got for $5.00.....
