... now I'm bummed...
WRX's run around 14.5 to 14.7's in the 1/4 mile and trap in the mid to upper 90's. A crower stg 2 cam, springs, retainers, valves, a intake manifold, good clutch and a lighter flywheel and a good tune and you will keep up with if not outrun one from a roll. A obx lsd, a good set of axles, motor mount inserts, and a set of drag radials and you should be able to take one from a roll and from a dig. This would run you around $2000 give or take some. Or you could do it the easy route
1. a greddy turbo kit with a intercooler, add a good aftermarket ecu/tuning program and you will kill one. Still need a decent clutch setup.
2. lighten everything up a bit, loose the spare tire stuff, take any subs/boxes you have out, get a set of rota's or other lightweight rims and spray it with a 100 wet shot and tune it.

Custom turbo setup for 1,000. Professional dyno tune for 600. 1600$ will lay you 200+WHP. Youll run low 14s all day. Prob best interest to get a new clutch. Figure 2K and you will be in good shape.
