Default Ok so Here We Go.

Alright, the Turbo D has been overheating. I swapped the thermostat, flushed the coolant system, and recently got a new rad cap. Still eats coolant and gets hot. Im guessing its the headgasket because it doesnt leak coolant at all. Changing headgaskets sucks.....so i am going a different route. Basically im looking for a B series turbo manifold. B16 is what i will be getting swapped in soon. As i am clueless on swaps....where should I get it from? I will be doing the tranny swap at the same time....should be easier....so I will be selling my 5 speed S20 trans.....What kinda power will I be making with my Turbo B16? Not sure, but I might just become a B series owner......Just gotta figured out how much I should be paying for a good B16...and where to get it

First of all, isn't this in the wrong section? But anyway, i would first check out www.craigslist.com you can find your city on there and check out local people who are selling the engine you want or you could put up a wanted ad. A couple weeks ago i saw a couple of B16s on the chicago craigslist website but they aren't there anymore. Maybe find one that is broken and rebuild it.

SunriseJDMmotors is reputable from what I hear. I think Kappa has gotten a couple of motors from there. $1250 gets you an OBD0, but it's a cable tranny I think. The OBD1 with hydro tranny is $1750 for the whole swap. Figure $250-300 foro shipping and you are looking at a cool 2 grand to go dual cam. Not bad.

This guy is selling a SSAC B series mani for $125 obo. You could probably get it for $75. I can pick it up and ship it to you. There is another dude on there selling a whole kit with a sick mani. I will see if he wants to part it out.
