ok i'm seriously pissed, ok i'm talking to my dad about getting some lowering springs for the civic, and he just like, ignore's me, so i just said whatever. so later i go to him when i THINK he's in a better mood, and tell him again. and you klnow what he tells me... NO, your not doing anything to that car till your 18 and out of the house, so after that i just popped a cork, and started just going off at him about how he has no say in what i do to the car, that i was just tell ing him so we have something to talk about since we don't get along anyway. and he said i do have say and that he'll take the car away from me in a heartbeat, so i told him to go **** himself and drove my *** off, i'm not even home right now i'm sitting at my friends house pissing time away. here's the thing though, i bought the car with my own moneydone it all myself so far without any concern for what he has to say about it and he has had no problem with it, and as for my mom she could care less what i do to the car and she could care less what or when i do **** to the car, she says go ahead, so what do ya'll think am i right or is he wrong hahaha no am i right or is he wrong? please tell me... thanks for being there when i need to vent HCF i don't know what i would do without ya'll...

 

I mean if you bought the car yourself, then he really has not place telling you what you can and cant do to it. However your living under his roof, and from personal experience I can tell you, your fighting a losing battle. Just respect how he feels, dont bring up what your going to be doing to the car.

and certinly dont run from the situation, face it, and deal with him. Sit down and talk with him, or if your dad is like my dad, write him a letter so he HAS to listen. My old man would kick me out just for mopping his floor the wrong way.

 

Id say you have a right to do whatever you want to do but respect your dads opinion. And if all else fails just do it anyway without him knowing.

 

thanks i ran away because he's the beating type you know i've taken it for too long and i'm thinking of calling home and finding a place to stay for awhile... i'm just soooooo sick like the song by flyleaf lol but i've taken it for my mom too long and now i'm coming out and doing something about it don't worry it won't be nothing drastic like killing myself or anything, just... well you know in a couple days... thanks for listening and taking the time to read that long *** thing... and srt i know where your coming from....

well i can see your side and i can see your dads side. but just like allforsrt said, you live in your parents house so you have to respect what they say. and since you're still considered a minor, your parents can do what they want with your stuff. sucks i know but thats life.

on another note, just do it without him knowing. he will never know the difference of being lowered lol. unless he sees everything.

my dad gave me his escort... legally mine... i put a full body kit on it...painted the interior.. he was pissed..but it was mine...i didnt give a ****..he got over it... but afte ri wrecked and he found out about the body kit and how it was paid for.. he hasnt forgiven me yet
