Well let's just say 1)unnessary work for women who bring in cars.....2) oops did we leave a part off that car.....3) oops were we supposed to have done that on that car.... oh well they will never know and we will charge them for it..... but i won't go on...... let's just say mechanics shouldn't have quota's and $ amounts they have to meet.

 

I also have a similar Pep Boys story, on a smaller scale. The drain plug on my mom's car was partially stripped (wish i had bought the breaker bar earlier) so i went to Pep Boys to see if I could get one for cheaper, cause it was on my way to were i had to go. I went in and they guy took like 10 min on the computer and then tells me they don't have the drain plug in stock and it should be in after 1PM. So im like crap i gotta come back. I was goin home and there is a dealership by my house so i go there and check how much it is. If it wasn't too much more than Pep Boys' price i was gonna buy it. Turns out that the drain plug at honda was HALF the price of the plug at P.B. and the guy gave me the washer for free. And i won't be goin to Pep Boys anymore b/c of the stories ive heard on this thread. I usually go to AutoZone or NAPA anyway.

hey they do have guys that dress up as them and parade out in front of the stores at different times of the year

 

AAA gets you a discount at NAPA...but I still get my parts at AAP or Autozone...

 

Whats the discount? I have AAA and i never knew about the discount. Maybe ill goto NAPA more often, its not that far from my house.
