For parts and stuff, I've had better luck with Pep Boys than Advance, around here anyway.

As far as service I've never had them do anything more than a NYS inspection

 

Pep Boys seems to have the best selection. but they suck at knowledge and customer service. actually, im extra pissed at them tonight. i needed 2 bolts, 4 washers, and 2 nuts. i walked up at 2 minutes after 9, and the guy was walking over to the open door (apparently to close it) and didnt bother to say "sorry, we're closing up." or "will it take you long?" the guy just looked at me and did the "dead" sign by wiping his hand sideways acrost his throat. like, "we're killing it for the night, buzz off." i was so pissed. i left some nice strips in the parking lot though. punkass.

 

HA, thats great. My buddy and i were in his Supercharged 5.0 and went to a gas station. The dude put the gas cap on the roof, and my buddys like "Hey get that f'n thing off my roof" The dude gives this stupid *** look, and my friends like "Forget the gas" and well i dont even know what kinda look was on the dudes face, cuz there was so much smoke you couldnt even see him.

 

taking your car to pep boys is like going to mc donalds for a rib eye steak
