A question for computer tekkys, I use my computer everday and its on for the hole day, I just turn it off a night. Is this bad for it? Or should I just put it on suspend at night?

Just asking because I know alot of people who never shut it off.

 

i like to shut them off when not in use so they can cool down. thats what i would do if i were you

My comp is on 24/7, lol.

 

the less ur parts are on constantly the more life youll most likely get out of it

 

Well...if its a Mac, they are made to stay on for long periods of time and actually are not sopozed to be turned off (at least for G4's and what not)

I leave my PC on for weeks at a time and it still runs fine.

 

if you run:games, videos, music, and photo apps a lot. it's a good idea to shut it down at night so your computer won't bog down.

 

My computer never goes off and I play CSS alot. It really depends on how you use your computer.

 

try defraging and shuting your comp down a few nights, you'll see a difference.

 

might lower ur electric bills?
