I'm not sure how you deal with decisions like these. But me being a Christian, I always pray about big decisions like that. Money is great, and security and money are even better. But some unknown aspects such as co-worker personalities and stress levels of the environment can be the deciding factors on whether you enjoy your job or not. I'd rather make $50,000 and have peace of mind, than make $100,000 with high stress levels and frustration. Too many people sacrifice these very things, at the expense of their family and loved ones as well, for more money. Then they realize in the end that peace of mind has far greater value. But whatever the case, I hope you are happy in whichever decision you make. [sm=smiley20.gif]

Thanks for calrifying, it makes a lot more sense now. Like I said I wasn't trying to be an ***, just sounded a bit nutty.

..oh yeah, and around here $25 an hour for a bouncer is unheard of. I used to bartend for a little while, and have a few friends who are bouncers. They don't make anywhere near that
No problem Forty...yah 25 an hour is about average for an upscale bar/or a bar that has TONS of security issues. Most bouncers just work 3 or 4 hours a night, have little to no responsibility of doing anything in the bar ( they dont clean up, they dont do trash, they dont rotate beer, they dont clear tables, they dont wipe down the bar and sweep) nothing so in order to find people who are going to take the job seriously you have to give them a reason to stay. Which is money lol.

I remember working in high school as a bouncer under the table working 18 hours a week bringing home over 450 a week. lol

You misunderstand me. Hell yeah live for now and take a risk on a new job. With all the extra money he'll be earning he can save as much as he likes for the future. Your telling him to stay in a job for sercurity and so he can have a pension when hes old. If everybody did that then nobody would ever try something new or start their own bussiness/company etc and we would all be a pretty boring uninventive race would we not.

Your talking about leaving a good paying job to be a bouncer. Ok, there is a difference in not being agressive and going after something and keeping yourself from making a mistake.

Money is great in all but u also have to be happy with what your are doing in life. so make sure that whichever one u choose is what u want to do and dont do it purely on the money. just my .02 cents. anyways good luck with whichever u choose.

no In MA you legally have to be 18. Even though when i started working I was 17 You can even work in 21+ strip clubs at age 18. You have to be 19 to work at the Sheriffs Office.
