Urine Test
I just got this in my email and it makes a lot of sense.
[/blockquote]
I guess it's true...
URINE TEST[/align][blockquote](I sure would like to know who wrote this one! They deserve a HUGE pat on the back!)[/blockquote]
[blockquote]Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. Ipay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as itsees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a randomurine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem withisthe distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.[/blockquote]
[blockquote]Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare checkbecause Ihave to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, Ihave no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the otherhand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ***, doing drugs, while I work. . . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistancecheck ? Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though . . . Something has tochange in thiscountry -- and soon!

I agree, f- the government, they don't care what the people think and never will, were all just a bunch slaves doing what they tell us and believing what they say. Its all about money...

Mustangphil... run for office man, I'll vote for you. the way things are looking, i don't want to vote for a republican or a democrat.
Well, thanks for the vote Littlehag, but that doesn't always work. As we all know, majority of Florida voted for Gore and they still gave it to bush. So in reality Gore won the presidency but didn't.
Making people pass on urine test to get on welfare seems pretty useless imo. There are plenty of ways to pass drug tests, especially **** tests. Sure it might help a little, but unless you make them take more than one, and even then make them random as hell (which wouldn't be worth it either, cause then they'd probably have to raise taxes to support all the drug testing clinics), it still probably won't help anything.
I'm sorry - but am I the only one that finds this post to be a terrible example of stereotyping? You're assuming that the majority of people on welfare are sitting around smoking weed constantly and doing nothing to benefit anyone. NOW, don't get me wrong, I think welfare is a joke and, like most things in the country (f*cking social security) is abused. Especially welfare, it was only meant to get people OFF of welfare, but now welfare promotes people do the things they originally did wrong, to stay on welfare. I understand where you're coming from but it's impractical, and in the end would probably cost just as much for the tests, sending notices to everyone, processing them, etc as the gov't got for welfare from taxes. I still find this topic VERY stereotyping though... before you accuse people that are halfway across the country you should try to view things from their point of view. For the people that actually use welfare as it's needed, their check gets cut because some guy in a business office is complaining about a urine test.
